## The day

Indicative timetable: the final order will be published closer to the date. Doors open at 8:45am. The day runs 9am to 4:30pm.

- 9am to 9:20am: Welcome and introductions. Meet the other directors in the room and rate your own confidence across the HR areas the day covers.
- 9:30am to 11am: Session block 1. Recruitment, contracts and the awards, then probation, performance and hard conversations.
- 11am to 11:15am: Morning tea
- 11:15am to 1:15pm: Session block 2. Bullying, harassment and discrimination, then wellbeing, conflict, complaints and your safety duties.
- 1:15pm to 2pm: Lunch
- 2pm to 3:30pm: Question time. Bring your questions on governance, financial management and the new funding model.
- 3:30pm to 3:45pm: Afternoon tea
- 3:45pm to 4:30pm: Wrap-up and action planning. Turn the day into a 30, 60 and 90 day plan you take back to your service and your committee.

The full day from 9am to 4:30pm, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, barista coffee through the day, a comprehensive resource pack, and take-home templates and tools. Your invitation to the networking evening is included in your ticket. You opt in for each person when you book.

## The night before

Sunday 30 May 2027. Join the other directors for a relaxed networking evening on the Sunday before your session. The evening is a genuine chance to build relationships with people who do the job you do. You opt in for each person when you book. Your invitation is included in your ticket. The evening is for Forum ticket holders only, with no partners or guests. We email the time and place in the week before.

## Getting there

St George Sailing Club, 2 Riverside Drive, Sans Souci NSW 2219.

Street parking was free in 2026. Try these in order.

1. Free street parking on Riverside Drive, right outside the club. Spaces are limited, so allow ten to fifteen minutes.
2. Overflow parking on Rocky Point Road, on the east side near the Captain Cook Bridge. It is about a five minute walk along the waterfront path under the bridge.
3. The St George Motor Boat Club car park at 2 Wellington Street, about a kilometre from the club, is another option if the street is full.

- By train, take the T4 line to Kogarah station. From the city it is about 25 minutes.
- From Kogarah station, catch bus 477 (towards Miranda) from Railway Parade, Stand C. Get off at Rocky Point Road at Wellington Street. Allow 15 to 20 minutes on the bus.
- From the bus stop, the club is about six minutes on foot (about 500 metres) down to Riverside Drive.
- By taxi or rideshare, Sydney Airport is about 20 minutes away and the city about 40 minutes outside peak hour. Give the driver the street address.
